Barack Commits His First “Obamination”

robinson-andrew.jpg“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” (Leviticus 18:22)

“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” (Leviticus 20:13)

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” (Romans 1:26-27)

It seems as though everybody is afraid to say something about this, but I am going to say something about it. Barack just committed his first “obamination” by calling up Gene Robinson, the most prominent, “civil-unioned,” homosexual man in America, who claims to be a bishop, to pray at the Inaugural Service at the Lincoln Memorial.

robinson-andrew.jpgAccording to the biblical record, the non-mythical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed largely because of the sin of homosexuality. Years ago, someone said that “if God does not punish America for its sin of homosexuality, He would have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” God is not in the business of apologizing. (By the way, the homosexuals in Sodom and Gomorrah never went to Mayor Lot to ask for a marriage license.) I tell my children that what they do for the Lord ought to be done because they love the Lord, but, if for some reason, they choose not to do it because they love Him, at least do it because it is smart to do so that they can avoid getting into trouble with the Lord and with me. In other words, be smart enough to at least cover your behind. No matter what kind of pressure Barack Obama was under by the homosexual community, out of love for God, he should have avoided doing what he did. But, if for no other reason, he should have avoided doing what he did because it would have been the smart thing to do to keep himself and this country out of trouble with the Lord. He should have at least played it smart to cover his behind and ours.
Right now, we are experiencing the worst economic meltdown in the history of our country since the Great Depression, and the President-Elect seeks out the most prominent, “civil-unioned,” homosexual “minister” in the country to pray over his presidency and our country. This does not show love for “his” Lord, nor does it show smartness. In economics there is something called the “invisible hand.” Well, I believe that that invisible hand is actually the hand of God. And if Obama continues to pull stunts like this, and chooses to push the homosexual agenda, (and God help him if he pushes the homosexual marriage agenda), America may never see the blessings of the “invisible hand” again.
Furthermore, let me add that the two life-destroying sins of homosexuality and abortion may very well be a part of our economic problem. The act of homosexuality cannot produce children and abortion kills children. Thus, we do not have millions more workers and taxpayers to help shoulder the burdens of this country and to pay into social security, etc. But, hey, I believe what Johnny Hunt said, “We Christians ought to stop this talk of I hate the sin, but I love the sinner,” and rather say, “I hate my own sin and I love the sinner.” I believe that many of us as Christians have dropped the ball when it comes to the fact that we have oftentimes attacked people and judged them because of their sins, instead of reaching out to them in Christian love and bringing them to Christ. I am glad to see the more loving approach of Rick Warren, which is different from the more militant approach of the Jerry Falwells of the past. I believe we can win more souls to the Lord this way.
Be that as it may, Barack Obama made a serious error in judgment. In my opinion, he committed a sin against God and this country, yea, even an “obamination”, if you will. If Barack Obama and the nation want to see things turn around for the better in this country, all of us must repent of our wicked ways and do what the Bible says in 1 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  For, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”

I am in total agreement with your article and it is an abomination to allow this gentleman to pray over the inaugural happenings and this guys lifestyles goes against the principles of God’s Word.
Plain and simple truth ignored by people who are very intelligent but places no premium on the Word of God as it relates to this lifestyle.
When it comes to who you will stand with regarding the truth, let it always be the Word of God.

I will stand with any American, or any other human being, for God created us all. God may have a reason for this, and I am not in a position to question him…I am sorry that you think you are.

Mr. Alonzo, since when has prayer been relegated to those who are pure of heart? If prayer is only for non-sinners, you nor anyone else would be allowed to do it. How would you feel if someone told you because you were a sinner (and you are), that you could not pray for your President or your country or your family? Jesus wanted all sinners to come to Him, yes, even the homosexuals. He will judge us. Instead of finding every negative aspect of President Obama’s decisions before he is even in the White House, why not galvanize that energy and PRAY that God’s will is done through him and that God speaks intimately and guides all who Obama has chosen to be a part of history on January 20.

I trust that the Lord will use President-elect Obama since it appears that it was His divine providence that allow him to ascend to the highest seat in the land. I do agree with you commentary and was saddened by the President-elect’s decision. However, let us remember that David was a murderer and adulterer, yet God said that he was a man after His own heart. Moses was a murderer and liar, yet God called him His friend. So, in spite of Mr. Obama’s lack of judgment in this situation, God can still use Him to His glory!

Ah, once again, hypocritical, myopic Christianity. As an Orthodox Christian, I am tired of this kind of ignorant and hateful commentary.
First, homosexuals happen to be human beings too, as well as Americans, and Christians. As far as I know, Obama is supposed to be president of ALL Americans. Maybe you’d be happier if he banned prayer from the inauguration ceremonies? A lot of us don’t approve of Rick Warren’s theology either. But then, I suppose we’re going to hell because we’re not REAL Christians like you?
In Christian dogma, homosexuality is a sin – as are hundreds of other beliefs and acts. Will God love us less because a gay priest prayed at the inauguration? Is God really as small minded as many of His true believers?
Let us pray that He is not.
Pride, ego, judgmentalism, and a host of other sins plague all humankind. I live for the day when Christians in this nation come to realize that God does not embrace ignorance, hate, or nationalism. The God I worship, no doubt heretically in some books, does not want us to stop abortions, but endorse wars. He does not value American lives over those of other nationalities or religions. He does not tell us to sit in judgment over our fellow beings, but to love them as we love Him. Yet, we remain a bunch of raving, homicidal, fornicating, greedy, petty, egotistical lunatics.
    God help us all.

No, we’re not afriad. Those of us who are not saying “something about this” actually have bigger hearts than you do. We’d never, ever in a million years diss a person, the way you have Bishop Robinson, who has been called upon to pray for our well-being and the well-being of our country. Instead, we would thank that person, with love, for leading us in prayer, adn we’d open our own hearts wider to be in prayer with him.

I pray that you’re small, mean and hateful heart will thaw out before January 20th.

Why should Obama’s playing to the homosexual lobby surprise anyone. He said plenty about supporting this interest group during his career and campaign. If people merely got beyond his rhetoric and his shallow treatment in the press and listened to or read what he really said to these groups, this would be no surprise. If you didn’t want homosexual marriage in America, you should NOT have voted for Obama!

I am amazed at the people who said, “Well, Obama had to say things like that to get elected, but he really doesn’t believe it. He’s really a great, God-fearing guy.

God cannot answer the prayers of a homosexual pastor, unless if that prayer is for him to repent and turn from his wicked ways.

Obedience is fragile in the last days as forewarned by apostle Paul: 2 Thess 2:3-12. As well, Jesus also warned that your expressions must remain yes and no – do not to stray from God’s truth by personal opinion: Matt 5:37
Have you forgotten that demons believe and tremble! James 2:19
Those who side with evil are evil – for from the heart man is revealed: Matt 5:18

The great (and terrible) falling away [of committed faith and trust in Christ Jesus as King] has begun.

Matthew 23:13  …woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Falling away is not limited to those who believe -it concerns those who would believe! Be not one who causes one (wanting Christ’s forgiveness and relationship) to turn away from God’s kingdom!

Repent, turn away from those who deceive you
Repent, turn away from your deceptive opinions

Repent, turn unto God who is long suffering and merciful
Repent, turn unto God who forgives, who transforms

Christ King Jesus wants you to return to His kingdom – flee the wrath to come

Repent, return to His love and guidance

Eph 5:8-11 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

    Dear Mr. Brooklyn,
I praise the Lord for your boldness is speaking the truth. Many don’t want to hear it, but the One who said, “I am the Truth” (Jesus), also said … “The Truth shall set you free” (John 8:32). Jesus also said, “I have come into the world to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (John 18:37).
The most loving thing we can do is to keep speaking the truth, and those who will humble themselves and submit to the truth will be set free!
I pray for our new president, but NO man, including Barak Obama, can be blessed of God while opposing God’s truth. Unless he repents of his intentions of opening the floodgates to more abortion and homosexual rights, he and our beloved country are heading into a certain decline, and perhaps worse, a time of Divine judgment.
As the apostle Paul said, …”Let God be true, and every man a liar” (Romans 3:4).
