mlk3-2.jpgToday in Washington D.C., Martin Luther King III will convene a meeting of the world’s foremost civil rights and social leaders to galvanize a national debate to confront poverty, civic disengagement, and violence.

Martin Luther King III, Rep. John Lewis and Jeffrey Sachs will hold an 11:30 a.m. press conference at the Grand Hyatt (1100 H Street NW, Washington DC) to address the pressing need to combat poverty in America.

The press conference is part of The Summit to Realize the Dream.  The Summit focuses on three crucial agendas: redressing poverty, building community through civic engagement, and fostering peace through non-violence.   These three goals are mutually reinforcing components to any viable outcomes and to the core mission of the Summit’s host organization, Realizing the Dream, Inc.
